Feedstock

Feedstocks are the raw materials used in a manufacturing process to produce a final product. The type of feedstock generally depends on the industry. For example, feedstocks used in the chemical industry might include natural gases, crude oil, or organic compounds. Feedstocks for agriculture might include organic material like grains, microorganisms, or seeds, and inorganic material such as fertilisers or pesticides. In some industries like clean energy and agriculture, waste biomass can be used as a sustainable feedstock.
